Ancient Greek culture influenced Roman culture, ergo Athens and Rome are profoundly connected. Milan and Florence are magnificent cities in their own right. The history of Lviv is very different, and we're immensely proud to be developing Lviv tourism in wartime.
The future of In Lviv Tours depends on the aftermath of the war we are fighting against Russia. When peace settles upon Ukraine and lives return to normal, our guides will be war veterans from Lviv or who lived in Lviv prior to 520am, Thursday, February 24th, 2022.
The concept is simple: rehabilitate the fighters who defended Ukraine. Friends of ours left home to fight without any military experience, so we must provide strong support when they return.

When In Rome Tours was a fly-by-night gathering operation that recruited gangs of Cuban and African enforcers to "own" street corners around St. Peter's Square. Not very respectful.
Thousands of lost tourists were corralled then directed to a poky office on Via Santamaura then Via Sebastiano Veniero 19 / 21 to pay for a Vatican tour (cash only, of course).
This dark period of modern Vatican history is known as the "Mystery of the Missing Millions". When In Rome Tours' paper trail is still out there, the secret back room "shredder" didn't destroy all the evidence.
In 2010, we were brought in to legitimize and digitize the business. In 2020, the pandemic hit tourism hard.
The effect of COVID-19 was very simple; sell up and start again, peddle a few white label tours, or adios muchachos. Cue Wandrian, a US / Canadian corporate that stepped in to resuscitate the dying When In Rome Tours brand, then forced it to trade under one of their brand names. Cue "Italia Tours". Genius.
This rather sad and unedifying saga being poles apart from the honest grass roots of local tourism, relations were swiftly severed to reinforce our own strengths as an independent tour operator in Rome.

Many moons ago, the Eternal Tours Rome website was .net and even today we can't explain why!
We brought the domain back to the fold a few years ago to develop a meaningful blog, as we have many articles in need of a permanent home. This is work in progress and will likely always be so.
The stories behind our Pompeii guided tours, day trips from Rome, private tours in Rome and everything else relating to Eternal Tours Rome will eventually reside on .net. Expect the good, the bizarre, and the beggars belief (naturally, there's quite a few of those).
