 Florence at Sunset by Bullet Train begins when the coachloads of tourists that flock to Piazza del Duomo and Piazza della Signoria in the day, have moved on come eventide.

 Our guided sightseeing experience takes in all the tranquil squares and iconic fountains of the historical city centre, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1982.

 Walk into the heart and soul of Italian Renaissance history and see what inspired Giorgio Vasari's "Lives of the Artists". The art and architecture described in his book emanate truly extraordinary impressions when the sun sets over this beautiful city.

 Upon conclusion of your two hour tour led by a local art historian guide, cross the River Arno and take your place in a traditional and rightly popular restaurant, known for its modest ambience and tasty Florentine flavours that exist nowhere else.

 Antipasto, two courses with wine, dessert and local limoncello are served. 'Bistecca alla fiorentina" (the second dish / secondo piatto) is the popular choice for most, but ready yourself to be sidetracked by a menu that will likely sabotage all your expectations in the best possible way.

 After dinner, cross the river once again and walk past all the history one last time, ahead of the bullet train back to Rome near 1030pm.

 We wandered around the surreal surroundings of historic Florence with our accomplished historian guide Marianna, and then enjoyed a lovely dinner in the evening, as local as local can ever be. Grazie mille bella!
